Are courses on the Academy accredited?

Answer:
All courses and modules are developed and delivered by experts in hypertension and are reviewed by the ISH Academy’s clinical leadership.
 
Courses on the ISH Academy are not currently accredited for formal continuing professional development (CPD/CME) points. However, the ISH plans to pursue formal accreditation in multiple countries in the future.
 
Learners are encouraged to check with their local professional body regarding recognition of learning activities for CPD purposes.

Is there a cost to access the ISH Academy?

Answer:
Access to the ISH Academy is included as part of ISH membership. No additional fee is required to access the current learning materials.

Who are the courses intended for?

Answer:
The ISH Academy is intended for healthcare professionals, researchers, and trainees with an interest in hypertension, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, scientists, and allied health professionals.

Will I receive a certificate after completing a course?

Answer:

Yes. Learners who complete a course will receive a certificate of completion from the ISH Academy once all videos have been watched and all assessments completed (80% minimum pass mark).

Question:

How long does the foundation course take to complete?

Answer:
The foundation course is designed to be flexible and self-paced. Learners can complete modules at their own speed, depending on prior knowledge and available time. As a guide, completing the full foundation course is expected to take around 15-20 hours in total.

What courses are available on the ISH Academy?

Answer:
The ISH Academy currently offers a foundation course in hypertension, built around key themes including:
  • Epidemiology
  • Pathophysiology
  • The fundamentals of clinical hypertension
  • Treatment approaches
  • Hypertension in specific populations
The ISH Academy is an evolving platform, and additional courses and modules will be added over time as the Academy expands.

Who can access learning materials in the ISH Academy?

Answer:
Access to the ISH Academy is available to members of the International Society of Hypertension. If you are not currently an ISH member, please apply for membership.
 
Once your membership is confirmed, you will be able to access the Academy’s learning materials.
